The Regional Management Board
The South East Fire & Rescue Service Regional Management Board (RMB) was established in 2004 in response to the requirement of the National Framework. The RMB is formally governed by a board of elected Members (pdf, 42kb) appointed by each of the nine Fire and Rescue Authorities (FRAs) in the South-East; Royal Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey & West Sussex. The Chair of the RMB is appointed annually and is currently Councillor Michael Cartwright (Hampshire). The RMB aims to deliver an efficient, effective service by identifying savings and economic benefits through collaborative working. Work of the RMB is divided into work areas, each one represented by a different authority, which can be viewed by clicking on the links on the left hand side.
