Efficiency and effectiveness
As the financial climate remains difficult, it is right that we look to protect the public purse by looking to make sure our services are efficient and effective. This means that as well as buying the best possible kit for staff to do their jobs safely, we also need to make sure that we get the best deal for taxpayers.
The last two years have been about developing skills in fire & rescue services, and building trust between each of the 9 services in the region demonstrating that by working together we can save money and protect front-line jobs.
Now we move on the next stage – collaboratively delivering state-of-the-art equipment to our staff by working together. Not only does this save us all money, it also helps us to work together at incidents, and maintain the safety of our staff.
